Bridging Work 2025 - From GCSE to A Level
A'level Bridging Work Summer 2025
Compulsory Sixth Form Bridging Task
This year all students need to complete the compulsory Sixth Form Bridging Task alongside subject-specific work. This task introduces key research skills, fosters academic curiosity, and showcases our library as a dynamic learning space. It also supports extended writing across all A-Level subjects.

Subject Bridging Work
You have also been set A-level Bridging Work by your teachers so that:
-
You can test the subject – do you like it? You are going to be spending two years studying this subject for over ten hours a week so you need to be sure!
-
You can see whether the difficulty of this subject is right for you
-
You can prepare to start the Sixth Form academically
-
You can show your teachers your strengths
All of the work is available for you to download below.
The Bridging Work should be handed to the subject teachers on your first timetabled A-level lesson.
The aims are for you to understand if you like the course and for you to be ready to start learning at post-16 level.
