Welcome to

Bishop Luffa School

Welcome to Bishop Luffa School!

We are a school of hope, where students are invited to explore their God-given potential.

OUR VISION as a school comes from John 10:10: ‘I came so you can have life – life in all its fullness’. Our aim is to show every child what 'life in all its fullness' means, so they can live out their God-given potential.

OUR VALUES are expressed in our school motto: ‘always our best because everyone matters’. Jesus told us ‘love each other as I have loved you’ (John 15:12). We want all of our students to know that they are loved and to treat other people and the world around them with love and respect.

Staff at Bishop Luffa commit to:

Inspire all students to be ambitious about their futures

Encourage and develop leadership

Develop partnerships within, and beyond, the school

Foster engagement in personal and spiritual development

Nurture a sense of belonging to a safe school and the wider world

Best wishes,

Austen Hindman, Head Teacher.

Our School Captains for 2024-2025 are Matilda Jeffers and Aaron Butters.

Aaron Butters

Hi, I'm Aaron, and I was delighted to be elected School Captain for this year. I'm intending to go on to study English and German at University, and I was really drawn to wanting to become a School Captain because of the opportunity to represent the school and all of its amazing values. I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into the role this year and making as much happen as possible!

Matilda Jeffers

Hello everyone,

I am very excited to be elected as one of your School Captains for 2024/25 along side Aaron. I am currently studying Business, English Language and Sociology at A-level. After such an amazing six years at Bishop Luffa School, with so many great experiences and so much support from my teachers, I wanted to give something back. My aim as school captain is to be an advocate for the students through the school council, because I believe student voice is very valuable to creating an environment where we can be ‘always our best because everyone matters’. I also aim to be somebody students feel they can approach in the corridors and ask for help if they have a queries or concerns. So please don’t hesitate to stop me and have a chat.  I look forward to what this academic school year holds for everyone.
