Year 7 have a great start at Bishop Luffa School
We were delighted to welcome our new Year 7 students to Bishop Luffa School at the start of September. They spent their first day getting to know everyone in their tutor groups in form time and during all the activities they undertook. Positively YOU showed the students creative approaches to learning, combining Mind Mapping, the ‘Story Technique’ the ‘Journey System’ and multi-sensory learning. The afternoon was spent thinking creatively and participating as part of team to solve the problem of how to build the tallest tower using just marshmallows and spaghetti. There was some ‘healthy’ Interhouse competition too!
The Year 7 students were asked about the best part of their day and this is what they said….
Ethan 7Ridgeway – spaghetti towers
Evie 7Wilson – also spaghetti towers – her group won!
Lewis 7Burrows – free food!
Noah 7Burrows – brownies at lunch were amazing
Eloise 7Burrows – excited about tomorrow
Woody 7Sherborne – doing actions with crazy Kim from Positively YOU
Dylan 7Sherborne – everything!
We look forward to getting to know the students over the coming weeks.
