Students perform at South East Hants Youth Orchestra’s Inaugural Concert

Four musicians from Bishop Luffa recently played at the inaugural performance of the newly formed South East Hants Youth Orchestra playing (out of about 30 musicians). Ben Webster (11Sherborne) was impressive as leader of the orchestra and Jasim Rahman (12Burrows) played the 1st movement of Grieg's Piano concerto which was a really outstanding performance.

Other Luffa performers were Myah Brent (11Sherborne) on flute, Jasim on violin (when not playing the piano!), and Rebecca King (8Otter) on clarinet.

The orchestra is open to musicians who can play at Grade 6 level or above and they are keen to recruit new members. Further information is available on the SHYO website SHYO — The Southern Music Project
