Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a personal development programme for young people between the ages of 14 and 25.

Bishop Luffa School supports the Scheme and is able to provide support and training as an after-school activity for those pupils who wish to participate.

At Bishop Luffa support for the award comes from our community, where a number of adults volunteer their time to support our young people.

We are always looking for new people to help and if you are interested please contact Mrs Victoria Haywood (haywoodv@bishopluffa.org.uk) at the school.

There are three levels of Award: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

At each level there are four Sections: Service, Expeditions, Skills and Physical Recreation plus a Residential Project (at Gold only). Activities in each Section are intended to complement each other and so provide a balanced programme reflecting different aspects of young peoples development.

Further details of the Award can be found on the Award’s website at http://www.dofe.org
